If you like Fairytales…Game of Thrones

While Game of Thrones is definitely not as tame as your everyday fairy tale, it does have its fair share of queens, dragons, and knights. If you love action-packed, winding plot lines, Game of Thrones is the show for you. The warring families of the Kingdom of Westeros will have you watching entire seasons at a time (but each season is only 10 episodes). You’ll come to love some characters, really hate others and most likely wish that you too lived in a faraway kingdom with fire-breathing dragons.

If you want something funny…Parks and Recreation

Parks and Recreation might be the funniest show to ever air! It follows the careers of several employees of the Pawnee Parks Department as they navigate the hilarious scenarios created by the bumbling townspeople. There is never a dull moment on Parks and Rec as the crew works together to better their town. This show is lively, vibrant and full of quotable lines. The characters and their quirks will have you laughing on end if you decide to watch this beloved comedy.

If you want to feel like a badass…Orange is the New Black

The women of OITNB are sure to show you what it means to be a girlboss. This show is iconic and provocative, but its characters are what truly makes it worth watching. Each inmate at Litchfield State Prison faces countless threats and setbacks during her sentence, but the way they always seem to overcome obstacles and make their voices heard will have you cheering them along. Additionally, the character development unfolds beautifully to give a well-rounded view of why the women of Litchfield are so very tough. This show should definitely be on your watch list. Catch up quickly so you can enjoy the recently released season 5,

If you want something nostalgic…Pretty Little Liars

If you are looking for a throwback give PLL a try. I know that many people are fed up with this show and its revolving cast of anonymous villains but I think it’s still worth a watch! Especially since it is currently in its seventh and final season. This show will definitely give you flashbacks to eighth grade but you’ll have the satisfaction of having answers to all of your questions once you finish every episode. Even if you’re totally over the storyline, watch anyway for fashion inspiration because we all know the liars are always dressed to the nines.

If you want something refreshing…Jane the Virgin

Jane the Virgin follows the life of the driven young author Jane Villanueva as she balances family life, being a mom and romance. This American telenovela is truly one of a kind given its outlandish plot and shocking revelations. The cinematography is stellar and the cast of attractive characters make it even better. If you’re sick of cliche dramas, head over to the CW to catch Jane and her crazy friends and family living it up in Miami.

If you want something scary…American Horror Story

If you are looking for a truly frightening TV show then look no further. AHS is the perfect pick with its terrifying combination of jump scares and psychological horror. Each season brings a new plot line so while you will always be scared, you’ll never be bored. The episodes center on creepy topics like asylums and witchcraft with a hint of romance mixed in.  Head over to Netflix to catch American Horror Story, just know that you’ll probably too frightened to chill.

If you want a “feel good” show….. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

This feel-good Netflix Orginal is the perfect show to accompany those sunny summer days. You’re sure to fall in love with the enthusiastic Kimmy and her salty BFF Titus. This show chronicles the pair as they live out their lives on the busy streets of NYC. Kimmy has an interesting backstory that involves her being locked in a bunker for the better part of a decade and Titus is an aspiring singer/actor/songwriter. Chock full of adorable moments and life lesson this show is sure to put a smile on your face!
